The enigmatic 'O / C S / C' star medalettes were described by Ramskold, Coins and medallions (2011) and attributed to Constantinopolis, but in light of recent discoveries (see lots 2812-2817 above and 2820-2821 below), an attribution to Thessalonica must now be considered. No convincing interpretation of the letters 'O / C S / C' has yet been found.
